Abstract
The present research is a theoretical study relative to the exegesis of the Holy
Qura’n. The main objective of the study is to show the link between the story of
Prophet Moses (Peace be upon him), in its narrative way, on the one hand, and one
the other, the circumstances that surrounded, conjointly, the process of the Islamic
Daawa (propagation) since its first phase, passing by the immigration of Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) from Mekka to Medina as well as the Qura’nic aims of that
immigration. How did the Qura’n – which represent Islam in its faith and legislative
sides- use that story to serve the Islamic Daawa (propagation) in its other side
concerning faith, as well as the legislative one, through what is relative to faith.
The present study aims also at revealing the style of the Holy Qura’n addressed to
the different parties in touch with the Islamic Daawa (propagation) either these
parties agree or differ in their views, on faith grounds, positively or negatively. The
same address is revealed through the story of Moses (PBUH), as well as the
differences in the Mekki revelation Surats and those revealed in Medina, in the way
of treating the relative elements of the story? How the Holy Qura’n treats some issues
in certain verses revealed and how it doesn’t tackled the same issues in other
passages revealed, and the wisdom of that method.
Accordingly, the questions posed by the present research are:
- Is there a relationship between mentioning the story of Prophet Moses
(PBUH) in the Holy Qura’n and the surrounding circumstances concerning the
Islamic Daawa? Who is concerned with the narration of this story? What are its
purposes and objectives? Are there some subjects of the story repeated? What
are the reasons and wisdom in that repetition, either in the frame of the Mekki
or Medani revelations or in comparing these two revelations? Is there a
difference in the narration of the story in the Mekki revelation and that of the
Medani one? What is that difference?
That is why, in order to reveal these issues, I used in the present research more
than one of the scientific research methods, most of them concern the following
ones:
- The predictive, the analytic, the deductive or referential, and the
comparative methods.
