Abstract
We have used quaternions to develop a mathematical description of the basic laws of motion, namely, Newton's laws, Maxwell equations, Schrödinger equation, Dirac equation, Klein-Gordon and Navier-Stocke\\\\\\\'s equation. We have shown that these equations of motion can be unified when formulated in terms of quaternions. It interesting to notice that the wave equation (Klein-Gordon) and Schrodinger equation emerge from one generalized equation. Another generalized equation involves Dirac equation and a new equation that we suggest to governs the motion of a scalar particle with integer spin is obtained. Moreover, Maxwell equations with their gauge conditions are found to be integrated equations. We remark that such unification stems from the fact that all physical phenomena are interrelated. We have also found other new equations that can be further interpreted in the near future
