Abstract
This study tries to investigate correlation coefficient behavioral problems with academic achievement and other demographic among governmental basic schools pupils of Omar Almkhtar municipal from class 4 - 8. The researcher applied the correlational method in carrying out this study. sampling applied in selecting a sample of (260) pupils, (130) male (130) female pupils. The tools of data collection consist of the following: bibliographical information sheet and Woodworth Matthews Scale of Behavioral Problems. The data manipulated by the computer applying the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The most important results of the study are as follows: 1- The Behavioral problems of the basic level of pupils of omar almuchtar municipality schools are characterised by statistically under the average among the population of the study. 2- theirs is a correlation between the diminution of the behavior problems & the actual academic achievement of pupils of these category witn essed in schisophrenic Dimensions and instability in addition to animosity to word society while not found in other Dimensions psychopathic and diprressional. 3- there are statistical differences in the behavioral problems among basic education schools pupils in omar almuchtar municipality due to gender differences in psychopathic and social animosity and instability while there are no other Dimensions. 4- there is a correlation in Dimensions of behavioral problems and the level of the mothers education in what concerns impressional and anti social behavior while there are no psychopathic depressional and instability diminution. 5- there are differences in behavioral problems Dimensions due to the father level of education in what concern in pressional chesophronic and instability as well as anti social diminution while there are no signs of instability and depressional Dimensions. 6- there are no differences in behavioral problems Dimensions among the pupils of this category due to the profession of the father in what concern impressional, chesophronic, anti social, depressional and insability diminution. 7- there are no differences behavioral problems Dimensions due to the proffesion of the mother in what concern impressional chesophronic anti social, depressional and insability diminution
