Abstract

The main objective of this study is to see the relationship between the psychologyical and social adjustment ; on the one hand ; and the flood disaster on the other hand . the reseacher has used the descriptive method, population of the study are , "76" youth whose ages are ranging between (18-35) years old to reach accurate results, the researcher has used the followin tools : a/ Primary data form – questinnaire . b/ H.M.BELL psycho-social measure the collected data were statistically manipulated by computer using the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) the most finding of this study were : 1/ most of the population have moderate psycho–social adjustment . 2/ concerning the emotional, social and health dimension ; both male and female have typical psycho–social adjustment , where as female are more rigid than male in the home diminision . 3/ concerning the home, social and health dimension ; both married and unmarried have typical psycho–social adjustment . 4/ all population have typical psycho-social adjustment . 5/ Age has no psycho-social effect on home and social diminsion – but it has effect on health and emotianal diminsion. the researcher has come out with some recommendations and suggestions which can help population to make adjustment with environment , socity and fluod disasters .
