Abstract
This study was carried out to evaluate the bacteriological
hazards resulted from consumption of fresh vended juices in
Khartoum State.
A Total of 35 sample of fresh vended juices were collected from
different vendors in Khartoum State ( Khartoum ,Khartoum North
and Omdurman ) and examined bacteriologically in the Public Health
Laboratory (Khartoum State) for A Total Coliform, Fecal Coliform
and Escherichia coli ..
The examined samples included Tamarind , Guava , Mult ,
Orange , Mango and Lemon juices . The enumeration was reveald
high Most Probable Number of Total coliform and Fecal coliform in
most of the sample and it ranged between <100-> 1000 per ml of
sample .
The presence of E.coli was detected in 54.42 % of the sample
under study.
The bacteriological values showed that Omdurman area deliver
most hygienic vended beverages .
