Abstract
An exepriment was carried out to investigate the effect of spacing on growth and yield on Lablab bean (Lablab purpureous.(L) sweet) as forage. The experiment was conducted at the Demonstration farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Khartoum, Sudan, during Summer 2009 season. The treatment used were two genotype of lablab the brown seed ( Commercial Cultivar) the white seed (DL07-11) and four spacings 10 cm, 20 cm, 30 cm and 40 cm. The treatment were randomly assigned to a split-plot design with three replicates. Parameters studied included: plant height, stem diameter, number of branches per plant, number of nodules per plant, fresh weight and dry weight.Results showed that the spacings increased stem diameter, number of branches per plant, fresh weight and dry weight increased with spacing. Also the genotype had effect on plant height, the V2 genotype affect fresh weight while V1 affect dry weight. The S4 affect fresh and dry weight
