Abstract

Title of Research: Poetic Citation and its Employment in Manifesting the Eloquence of the Quranic Text. Name of Research: Student: Muhammad Ali Saleem El Bahabah The study aims at revealing the efforts of interpreters of the modern age in the filed of the science of eloquence through their precise analysis of the techniques of the three eloquence sciences by studying the poetic citation and employing it in manifesting the eloquence of the Quranic text in their interpretations of the Noble Quran. The researcher adopted the descriptive methodology and its tools which are represented in collection, classification, analysis interpretation, and comparison of information, then extracting the results from them. According to the nature of the study, the researcher had divided it into an introduction, a preamble two chapters and a conclusion. The introduction dealt with Al Qasimi, El SHinquiti and El Sabooni and their interpretations. Chapter one was about the poetic citation in the view of interpreters containing three themes. Theme one dealt with the concept of poetic citation and its controls. Theme two was about the approach of interpreters towards citation. Chapter two included study of the poetic citation and its employment in manifesting the eloquence of the Quranic text in three main topics. Topic one dealt with the poetic citation in the themes of meanings. Topic two was about the poetic citation in the themes of rhetoric and topic three dealt with the poetic citation in the themes of figures of speech. The conclusion included the most important results and recommendations set forth by the researcher. The character of some interpreters was prominent in dealing with linguistic, grammatical and eloquence questions and discussing the opinions of some linguists, grammarians scholars of eloquence Quranic readings and scholars of preponderance and their opinions shall have influence on language, grammar, and eloquence compositions later on. The eloquence approach of interpreters was distinguished with good care about employing the poetic citation to project the Quranic text and mentioning some eloquence terminologies as well as explaining their concepts and discussing eloquence opinions of difference, their criticism and give citations for or against them using Quran and Arabic poetry specially in the interpretation of El Shinquiti. The interpretations of El Qasimi and El Shinquiti are comprehensive consisting of several interpretations and they have eminent status in the modern age Al Qasimi gathered the opinions of early interpreters and revised some opinions therein. Al Shinquiti interpreted Quran with Quran and discussed many linguistic grammatical rhetoric and Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) of linguists, grammarians and rhetoric scholars. The interpretation of El Sabooni is confined to the verses of rulings. His opinions were limited but he relied on some early interpretations such as (Jami Al Bayan) of Al Tabari and (Al Jami Li Ahkam Al Quran) of Al Qurtubi and others. The researcher recommends projecting the efforts and additions of interpreters in the modern age as well as studying the questions of Quranic eloquence in their books because of the rich and valuable eloquence material they contain. I also draw the attention to the necessity of preparing a critical study of the opinions of Al Qasimi and El Shinquiti in referring back metaphor in the Holy Quran.
