Abstract

Although Sudan is a vast country and multiple geographically, culturally as well as archeological diversity, but it cultural heritage is out of concern due to the largeness of land, beside lack of archaeological awareness and fund. the aim of the current study is to reflect the unique characteristics of archeological sites generally, river Nile states in particularizing order to protect and preserve such sites ,so as to ensure the continuity of them. the fielded of the study is old meriotic city site city and pyramids. The old meriotic city site is considered one of the most popular sites both locally and globally. Thus UNESCO has been exerting great efforts to join such site to the world heritage, beside Nagaa and Mosorat sites. Therefore the study is addressing governor،s to pay attention towards such site in order to put practical plans so as to manage it locally on behalf of centre. Beside exorting complete efforts to create local and global rules and legislatives that meet our needs and today’s development. Also, the study deal with threatens that surrounded such site, materials used in preservation, discussing the legal problems of such site and to solve those obstacles mentioned in the study. All above, enable us to save and ensure the continuity of archeological sites generally, old meriotic city site in particularly.
