Abstract
This study aims and intends to explore the effect of material and nonmaterial incentives on productivity- this has been conducted on the basis of some research hypothesis that Kenana Sugar factory is one of the major industrial camplex and a pioneer in this field and that there's a simultaneous relationship between the material and non- material ineentives and productivity at Kenana Co. The research divided into three major chapters. Chapter one includes incentives theories, material and non-material incentives, job satisfaction and productivity, as well as training and incentives. Chapter Two focuses on Suger manufacturing in Sudan, and Kenana Suger Co (The organisational stucture of the company, and productivity promotion at Kenana Suger Co, it also includes services provided by the company to the employees). Chapter Three includes the field survey, personnel data analysis, analysis of primary data, finding and recommendations. To achieve its objectives, the researcher has adopted and employed the field work research approach. Consequently, survey questionair form was designed and given to (100) workers working for Kenana Sugar Co as a random sample. The respond was 100%. To analyse the data collected the researcher implemented two statistical methods, the simple percentage method and SPSS system whereas the hypothesis have proved that the material and non- material incentives affect productivity rates, the feeling of stability and job satisfaction. The research concludes by suggesting some recommendations regarding the setting of fair promotion principles, and highlighting the importance of providing continuous training programmes, in addition to the continuous improvement in wages and incentives given to the employees.
