Abstract

This study discusses the impact of prayers on Muslims’ behaviour and way of education, the study consists of an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. The first chapter includes a definition to the prayer in term and language, it also discusses the importance of prayers according to selected Quranic verses’ prophetic traditions in addition to interpretation of sura Elfatiha as it is a compulsory duty in doing the prayer. The second chapter focuses on the definition of education in term and language focusing on its bases, steps and means in Islam. This includes education by example which considered as one of the effective means of education, that the educator represent the ideal example for the child who imitates his educaters’ behaviour and manners. Also there is the education by habit which based on the nature of the human being who tends naturally to adopt good behaviour and attitudes, which become strong by repetition, also there is education by correction, telling stories and lastly the education by punishment. The third chapter includes the findings of a survey of a random sample of students and teachers. The study ends with a conclusion and recommendations. Some of these recommendations are: 1. some families neglect prayers. 2. the prayer makes a great effects on Muslims’ education and behaviour, thus, prayers should acquire more attention in the scientific and education institutions.
