Abstract
This study was conducted in the National Health Laboratory for assessing the breading sites preference by the adult house fly for some substrates and the production of larvae in each one. The substrates studied were meat, animal dung and milk with bread. The larvae were collected from the field from “Bahry market” and slaughter house “ Kadru town” and from animal sheds “in Khojalab” and were reared in the laboratory to reach adult stage to carry out the designed studies. The house flies tested were preferred to breed on meat, animal dung and milk with bread, respectively when we put these substrates together in one cage and this experiment was done three replicates. The substrate that gave the highest productivity was meat followed by animal dung and then the milk with bread.
