Abstract
The electron spin resonance spectra of Cr3+ ions in single crystals of K2 Sn CL6, at room temperature (300 K)4 show that Cr3+ ions replace substitutionally Sn4+ ions sites in the lattice. Their symmetry will be either cubic or tetragonal depending on whether the compensating charge Na1+ is remote from or near to the Cr3+ ion along the (001) and (110) – type axes . The spin Hamiltonian parameters are g = 1.9794 ± 0.0005 and D = (848.7) x 10-4 cm -1.
