Abstract
This thesis studies and analyes the relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia during the period 1990-2000, dealing with the main problems of cooperation and disagreements between the two countries, during the above mentioned period. The research highlightes the emergence and development of the science of the international relations, and the theory of power quelebriem in the international relations, which formed the basis of the research methodology, it also gives brief information about the two countries of the research. The research deals with the relationship of the two countries during the period of the Iranian Revolution up to the end of the Iraqi-Iranian war and the formation of the Emirates Cooperative Council. The research discusses the points of disagreement between the two sides towards the occupation of Iran of the Emerates islands, as well as the disagreement on the Gulf security, besides the common points of view of the two countries on the regional and International stand points and the positive approach which wittenesses the Saudi-Iranian relations, and aspect ideolgy between two countries . The research also concerns to the important items of cooperation between the two coutries during the period 1990-2000, as well as the reasons which led to this cooperation, particularly the economic factor, and the relations of the two countries within the frame of the Islamic world, and their points of view on the Middle East relation, and Israeili-Arab Conflict. The conclusion of the research points out that the foreign policy of Saudi Arabia towards Iran was based on the instant realtions, and the conflicts between the two sides does not serve their benefits, and may cause negetive relations with the countries of the region, and the continuation of the foreign poesence in the area. Recommendation: the rechearch recommends the solution of all the points of differences, and to activate the cooporation between the two countries and the countries of the region.
