Abstract

This thesis discusses and presents a moral view point on genetic engineering. It contains four chapters, chapter one defines morals and clarifies the difference between morals and ethics (philosophy study morals). The chapter also discusses the link between morals and religion, the factors that effect morals and the principle of moral obligatorism. Chapter two, which titled Genetic Engineering, defines genetic engineering, its scientific and practical uses and its use an animal and plants together with stating the philosophical aspects of all these uses. Chapter three illustrates the uses of genetic engineering on humankind (individual) making some references to the biological war and discussing moral and immoral aspects of the genetic engineering. Chapter four gives examples of the genetic engineering uses, taking into account that this chapter is the most significant one. It is significant because it discusses Cloning issue, its arguments, its requirements and conditions and its future, effects and a moral viewpoint on it. The chapter also states the viewpoints of some Islamic scholars in this respect as well as the link between Cloning and the Raeelians
