K & L X-Ray Fluorescence ection MCross-Seasurement and Calculation of Some Low Z- Elements Using 55Fe Source

Abstract

Absolute values of K X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) cross-sections have been calculated for elements at the excitation energy corresponding to Mn K X-Rays from 55Fe radioisotope. Also, absolute values of L X-Ray Fluorescence cross-sections have been calculated for elements at the same excitation energy. Measurements were also made for cross-sections for seven elements with at the same excitation energy. The measured values are compared with those calculated using the so called Least Square Fits Fundamental parameters and a good agreement is found
