Abstract
The present study was carried out in Koka and Um Salala villages, Rahad River, eastern Sudan. This area is characterized by highly seasonal but stable malaria transmission .A study was carried out to estimate some of the major parameter for malaria transmission. The main objectives of this study are to identity malaria vector and density of Anopheles mosquitoes present in the area and to measure the sporozoites rate as well as the Entomological Inoculation Rate (EIR) of the malaria vector in the area.
