Abstract
Glutathione S-transferases are a family of phase II
detoxifying enzymes that catalyze the nucleophilic attack of
Glutathione to a wide variety of endogenous and exogenous
electrophilic compounds such as products of oxidative stress and
environmental pollutants. These compounds play an important role
in maintaining DNA integrity.
