dc.description.abstract In this thesis the basic physics of Magnetic Resonance (MR) is reviewed and the experimental parameters that are essential in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMRI) are critically discussed in particular their effect on the image quality in diagnostic medicine. The experimental technique is thoroughly discussed with respect to superconducting magnet and the cooling system. It is concluded after a detailed analysis that these parameters should be evaluated from time to time, for example signal to noise ratio should be maximized and monitored in terms of the magnetic field strength, the electrical field strength and that the operator should be well trained in experimental physics so as to reduce the artifacts mentioned in the text. en_US
