Abstract
This research applies the Structured Analysis and Design Methodology, which is the one of the most classical methodologies used to analysis and design of real time systems. As an improvement of this methodology, the SDL notation is used. A PBX (Private Branch Exchange) analysis was chosen as a demonstration of the applicability of this hybrid technique. It is evident that this approach presents to the engineering community a well-known technique of analysis with familiar symbols
