Evaluation of Maintenance Techniques Performed On The Mobile Fleet of Kenana Sugar Company

Abstract

Maintenance is very important for any equipment so as to make it function efficiently and economically during the investment period. The objective of this work is to study the maintenance techniques performed on the mobile fleet of Kenana Sugar Company. This work discusses and evaluates the size of the mobile fleet and its different types and models, the different maintenance carried and the nature of operations and conditions of cane and sugar production. The study also depicts the operating and maintenance expenditure and an economical evaluation of all processes is given. Conclusions drawn about the existing maintenance techniques and recommendations to improve the quality of maintenance performed, are presented.
