Abstract
This research consists of two major sections : The first is been able to form an analytic introduction to the second section which implies and edition of Kitabal Fisr which is the commentary of Abu Al-Fath Uthman Ibn Jinni (392 AH) on the Verse book of Abu al-Tayib al-Mutanbi who is so renewed that all people are fond of him. • This commentary is the oldest and the most comprehensive ever written on any of Abu Al-Tayib : Ahmed Ibn al-Husayn well known as al-Mutanabi (303-354 AH) (915-965 AD), who is up to now the greatest Arab Poet born within the Abssid period. • Abu al-Fath Uthman Ibn Jinni was a well versed grammatist who succeeded Abu Ali al-Farisi (d 377- AH) (987 AD) in the leadership of the science of Arabic Linguistics where as non of his, contemporary scholars can surpass him like his teacher Abu Ali al-Farisi he occupied a middle course position between the two Basri and Kufi schools who are of the hadith method among the grammarians acknowledged as the Baghdad School grammatists. • Ibn Jinni had well gone through the poems of the book under the complete supervision of the poet himself in addition to vast discussions with him on different contra verse issues related to the Poems. • The part of this large book which has been edited is based on an ancient manscript kept at the Hamzawiyah Zawiya under the number (129) A which refers back to the 8th century of Hijra 14 century AD. • A photo copy of this manscript is well used by the writer on considered as an Origin. Another copy of Konia has also been used for comparison and contrast as well as in the correction of the text to rebuild a completely edited copy of this magnificent commentary may notes are added to the edited text in this dissertation together with some thethorus and apendeses with the researcher consider very useful because it consists of many note written by a writer not found within the notes of the eastern original copies they are the notes of al-Wahid Ibn Sa\\\\\\\'ad al Azdi (d 385 AH) (995 AD) on Kitab al-Fisr
