Abstract
This study aims at understanding the correlation between expressive disorders and the self – concept among basic school pupils in Khartoum East locality. The researcher has used the correlation of method. The study sample been selected from pupils suffering from expressive disorders. The sample size is 100 pupils at the 7th grade (50 males and 50 females expressive disorders. A questionnaire was used to collect data along with the self concept scale and the expressive disorders scale which is composed of 2 main dimensions: the linguistic dimension and the psychological dimension. The researcher has applied different statistical methods: the single group T- test, the 2 independent group T- test, Pearson correlation coefficient and the Alfa Kronbakh. The following findings were reached: 1. The linguistic dimension of expressive disorders is significantly high while the psychological dimension is significantly low. 2. There is no significant correlation between the expressive disorders, dimensions and the concept of self among the basic school pupils in Khartoum East locality. 3. There is a significant correlation between the linguistic dimension of expressive disorders with fathers\\\\\\\' educational level, while there is no significant correlation between the psychological dimension of expressive disorders with fathers\\\\\\\' level of education. 4. There is a significant correlation between the linguistic and the psychological dimensions of expressive disorders with mothers\\\\\\\' level of education. 5. There are no significant differences in the two dimensions of expressive disorders between male and female basic school pupils
