Abstract
This thesis tackles the general of the technological education, as it is important and plays a considerable role in development. The study's problem to uncover the state's policy toward the technological education and the results of applying such policy. Hypothesis: 1. The higher education's policies have positively affected the development of the technological education. 2. Such polices have contributed to the qualification of the technological frameworks of the technological education. 3. Policies and laws of the technological education have been inefficiently applied. 4. The finance of allocated to technological education is insufficient for providing and supports its need. 5. There are no policies that support the technological, health and engineering education. The method applied in the study is the descriptive analytical one in order to describe the reality of the technological education, as to policies and laws, and subsequently to analyze such reality taking into account the current data, depending on the primary sources (the questionnaire) and the published and unpublished researches and reports. The study is made in three chapters: Chapter I: This chapter is about the general concepts public administration and technological education as well as a historical background on the technological education in Sudan. VII Chapter II: It is on the reality of technological education in Sudan in addition to the most important problems impeding its development. Chapter III: In this chapter, the data collected were analyzed and discussed. There is the conclusion, the results and recommendations. Most Important Results: 1. There are no clear policies organizing the technological education in the Sudan. 2. The planning for technological education is so weak, and the factors and aids of application there of are weak either. 3. There are supporting policies in the engineering fields. 4. The weakness of the financing allocated to teaching education is one of the most important problems impeding the progress of technological education. Most Important Recommendations: 1. The state should provide the financing required to support the higher education technological institutions. 2. Clear policies should to set down to organize the technological education in the Sudan. Technological education should be linked with the country's national planning. 3. The role of the different mass media should be activated in order to contribute to the awareness of the society of the importance of the technological education, through oriented programs.
